911 MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM–MAY 09,2015-$79.00

The National September 11 Memorial Museum serves as the country’s principal institution concerned with exploring the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring 9/11′s continuing significance The National September 11 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, Pa., and at the Pentagon, as well as the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993. The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in the North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. Architect Michael Arad and landscape architect Peter Walker created the Memorial design selected from a global design competition that included more than 5,200 entries from 63 nations. The names of every person who died in the 2001 and 1993 attacks are inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools, a powerful reminder of the largest loss of life resulting from a foreign attack on American soil and the greatest single loss of rescue personnel in American history The cost includes Motor coach transportation and admission to the Memorial and Museum. zoo

BRONX ZOO – JUNE -20, 2015-$79.00/ ADULT- $74.00/ CHILD

The Bronx Zoo is located in the Bronx, a borough of New York City, within Bronx Park. It is among the largest metropolitan zoos in the world, and is the largest in North America, with some 6,000 animals representing about 650 species from around the world. The zoo comprises 265 acres of park lands and naturalistic habitats, through which the Bronx River flows. The Bronx Zoo is part of an integrated system of four zoos and one aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society, and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The Bronx is rarely thought of as the home to thousands of rare or endangered animals, but the 265 acre Bronx Zoo, which houses over 600 species and 4,000 animals, is just that. From the not so tiny hissing cockroaches of Madagascar to the 1,000 pound Polar Bear of the Arctic, the Bronx Zoo has something for everyone. As you walk along the paths through the park, you can expect to come across Bison, Bears, Lions, Giraffes, African Wild dogs, a variety of deer, Birds of Prey, and more. There are many places throughout the Bronx Zoo to sit down and eat, and in addition to pigeons and squirrels looking for scraps, you might also get a visit from a wandering peacock. The sea lions in Zoo center are always a big hit, and you can watch them get fed twice a day, usually around 11am and 3pm. The Children’s zoo, which is open seasonally, has interactive exhibits, a play area with an awesome tree slide and climbable spider web, as well as a petting/feeding zoo. Even if the weather isn’t the greatest, there are plenty of indoor exhibits at the Bronx Zoo. The world of Birds, Mouse house, and Madagascar all offer indoor viewing opportunities .At the reptile house you can see a variety of reptiles and amphibians, from Giant Reticulated Pythons, Snapping Turtles, and Crocodilians to the tiny Kihansi Spray toad, which is extinct in the wild. Jungle world is another indoor exhibit at the Bronx Zoo, and as soon as you open the doors the sights, sounds and humidity of the jungle make you feel like you stepped into another world. Monkeys, Otters, Tapirs, Leopards, and stick insects all call jungle world home. The cost includes Motor coach transportation and admission to all attractions. We will depart at 7:00 am from the Wal-mart parking lot on Plainfield Pike ( Motor coach will be parked near (THE DOLLAR STORE ) .
